Dosage

Take Rybelsus tablets once daily, immediately after waking up on an empty stomach with water. Limit your water intake to no more than 4 ounces. You can eat or drink anything after 30 minutes of taking Rybelsus tablets. Waiting for a shorter period will reduce the effectiveness of Rybelsus tablets. Wait more than 30 minutes before you eat anything to increase the absorption of Rybelsus.

  • Swallow the entire Rybelsus tablet without cutting, crushing, or chewing.
  • Initially, Rybelsus 3mg tablets, once daily for 30 days, may be prescribed. You may increase the dosage to Rybelsus 7 mg once daily after 30 days. If you need additional glycemic control after another 30 days, you can increase the dosage to Rybelsus 14 mg once daily.
  • Your doctor may switch prescriptions between Ozempic and Rybelsus.

What are Rybelsus side effects?

If using Rybelsus, you must inform your doctor if you find the following symptoms and issues:

  • Pancreatitis: You must discontinue using Rybelsus promptly.
  • Diabetic Retinopathy Complications Continue to monitor for diabetic retinopathy.
  • Hypoglycemia: Concomitant use of Ozempic or another form of the insulin secretagogue or insulin may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
  • Acute Kidney Injury: Monitor renal function.
  • Hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., anaphylaxis and angioedema): discontinue OZEMPIC.
  • Acute Gallbladder Disease.
  • Lactation: Breastfeeding is not recommended.
  • Females and Males of Reproductive Potential Discontinue Rybelsus at least two months prior if a female is planning pregnancy. This is due to the long washout period for semaglutide.
  • You or any of your family members have ever had thyroid issues.
The symptoms of hypoglycemia may include:
  • Dizziness or light-headedness

Adverse Reactions

While using Rybelsus tablets, the most common adverse reactions are:

Other severe allergic reactions could include one or more of the following symptoms:

Storage of Rybelsus Tablets

  • Store Rybelsus tablets in a dry and clean place where the temperature is maintained between 68°F and 77°F (20°C to 25°C).

  • Store the Rybelsus tablets in the original bottle.
  • Protect the Rybelsus tablets from moisture.
