RYBELSUS tablets (semaglutide) are available in 3 mg, 7 mg, or 14 mg and are used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. It acts in many ways

What is Rybelsus Tablets used for?
Rybelsus Tablets is not recommended primary choice of medicine for treating diabetes. Do not use Rybelsus Tablets to treat people with type 1 and adults above 18 years of age. Rybelsus dose for weight loss – Rybelsus Tablets might aid in some weight reduction even if though it’s not for weight loss. It does not increase the risk of major cardiovascular (CV) events such as heart attack, stroke, or death.
Dosage
Take Rybelsus Tablets once daily, immediately after waking up on an empty stomach with water. Limit your water intake to no more than 4 ounces. - Your doctor may switch prescriptions between Ozempic and Rybelsus.
Warnings and Precautions
What are Rybelsus side effects?
If using Rybelsus, you must inform your doctor if you find the following symptoms and issues:
- Pancreatitis – You must discontinue using Rybelsus promptly.
- Diabetic Retinopathy Complications Continue to monitor for diabetic retinopathy.
- Hypoglycaemia – Concomitant use of Ozempic or another form of the insulin secretagogue or insulin may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
- Acute Kidney Injury – Monitor renal function.
- Hypersensitivity Reactions (e.g., anaphylaxis and angioedema) – Discontinue OZEMPIC.
- Acute Gallbladder Disease.
- Lactation – Breastfeeding is not recommended.
- Females and Males of Reproductive Potential – Discontinue Rybelsus at least two months prior if a female is planning pregnancy. This is due to the long washout period for semaglutide.
- You or any of your family ever had thyroid.
Symptoms of Hypoglycaemia may include:
- dizziness or light-headedness
- blurred vision
- anxiety, irritability, or mood changes
- sweating
- slurred speech
- hunger
- confusion or drowsiness
- shakiness
- weakness
- headache
- fast heartbeat
- feeling jittery
Adverse Reactions
While using Rybelsus Tablets, the most common adverse reactions are:
- nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhoea
- abdominal pain
- constipation
Other severe allergic reactions could include one or more of the following symptoms:
- Swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
- A problem in breathing or swallowing.
- Severe rash or itching.
- Fainting or feeling dizzy.
- Very rapid heartbeat.
Storage of Rybelsus Tablets
- Store Rybelsus Tablets at a dry and clean place where the temperature is maintained between 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C)
- Under certain conditions, an excursion is permitted to 59°F to 86°F (15°C to 30°C).
- Store the Rybelsus Tablets in the original bottle.
- Protect the Rybelsus Tablets from moisture.
