2. Short-Acting Insulin:
– Fast-acting insulin is another name for regular (R) insulin. It is offered under several brand names, such as Novolin R and Humulin R.
3. Intermediate-Acting Insulin:
– NPH (Neutral Protamine Hagedorn) insulin – Humulin N and Novolin N.
4. Long-Acting Insulins:
– Lantus (insulin glargine – Sanofi)
– Levemir (insulin detemir – Novo Nordisk)
